Designed by Swiss architects Markus Wespi and Jérôme de Meuron, this five bedroom villa in the Marche region of Italy is at the top of our wish list for our next family holiday. With the breathtaking views over the rolling hilltops, Casa Olivi boasts one of the most beautiful infinity pools we have ever laid eyes on. Sleeping eleven people, the main house has 4 bedrooms, each with their own ensuite and air conditioning while an independent guest house offers the fifth bedroom and bathroom.
Located 5 minutes form Treia and just over one hour's drive from the Monte Conero and Adriatic coast, the Marche region is considered Italy's best kept secret as a place fro exploring and escaping the crowds. Exploring Umbria's cities is thirsty work of course so guests will be pleased to know that there is a nearby bar just a leisurely 2 kilometre stroll down the road and along with the gastronomic restaurant Il Casolare dei Secreti just a little further.
There is also the option of having Gianna, the villa's go-to Italian 'mamma' cook the regions best local dishes for you during the stay (sounding better and better isn't it?!) or alternatively dinner with Michelin-Starred Chef's, Errico Recanati or Michele Biagiola can also be organised.
If you find yourself there in the autumn, the villa's 4 x 4 Land Rover Defender can be booked to take you on a truffle hunting expedition to nearby Acqualagna.
